  2. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

But that word means to discribe words that are spelled the same, but in the same language, I'm looking for a multilingual search.

Homographs can exist between languages, just like your example.

Depends. Are you interested in all languages, or just common homographs between two specific languages?

Yeah, I doubt many formal definitions of either would even factor in whether they words are the same language.

If it's pronounced the same and spelled the same, it's a homonym. If it's only spelled the same, it's a homograph. If it only sounds the same, it's a homophone. I haven't had any luck finding a tool for any of them that focuses on being cross-language, though.

Are the words spelled and pronounced the same, or are they spelled the same but pronounced differently? Because if they're spelled the same but pronounced differently then they are also heteronyms, which may in fact be what you're searching for. Words of different languages with the same spelling are most likely going to be pronounced differently so heteronym is a more accurate description.

Words Anglicized from other written languages often take a different form in English if the original language is not based on the Roman alphabet. Oriental languages are the most obvious example.

I just thought that maybe I saw it on wikitionary, so I decided to look there, and I believe that was the place, since it worked by typing TIME. :D

Thanks for your time. You didn't get me there, but I learned some new things with you guys. J, to me it didn't matter if they sounded the same, but most of the time when dealing with different languages is very likely they will not sound the same. TIME in Portuguese is pronounced TEE ME (the E in ME sounds like the first E of the word ENTER, without the N sound)
