    She insists on doing everything for herself, which is fine, but she walks with a cane and occsionally she gathers more stuff than she can carry. In this case a couple bowls of ice cream and two drinks for her and my dad. Why she doesn't ask him to help, I don't know. :dunno:

    Yep....some people tend to do that. I don't know if it is denial or just not thinking very well. Sometimes I think I might be guilty of that, but usually it is because there really is not any help available or that I want to ask.

    Had that happen before too! I am getting much more careful going up and down (especially down) the stairs here. As I have said before, I am allergic to pain, so I really try to avoid situations that hurt.

    I have a set of spiral stairs in the back of this house that could easily be removed and an elevator installed....if necessary down the road.

    No money now, plus I don't know if I am going to stay in this house....I don't need a 3,500 square foot house anymore....especially in a high rent district. :?

    I have no problems physically going up and down the stairs.....it is just easier now to trip or stumble....so I take extra care now and stopped hauling rather large and awkward objects by myself. I have had large TV sets upstairs that I waited until a son was home to move downstairs to discard.
