    Fortunately, they only dig the deep holes in an area where there is no sod right off my back porch. i thought about doing something similar to what your friend did if I ever regrade and resod my yard. The actually make various forms of either nylon chicken wire or polyester beehive matting, used in erosion control.

    I have never seen it at Home Depot here, but I would be surprised if it could not be ordered from them.....I would probably just order it directly from distributors (professional acquaintances).

    A lot of homes are on hillsides out here so it would make sense to carry such a material. I'm sure landscaping suppliers offer it as well.

    I have mostly seen it used related to highway multi-grade intersections/exchanges to stabilize those associated embankments and sometimes retention/detention basin embankments. Most of Florida is too flat to justify the expense with the above noted exceptions.
