Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads.     I used to lament that not enough games where televised ... now its gone the other way with sports of all kinds being viewed by TV programmers as "inventory" that returns them a comfortable profit.

    Interesting statement......there are now virtually hundreds of channels available to most cable and dish subscribers, which provide for a plethora of programing without "bumping" anything off the air. The viewing options have never been more plentiful. While I personally only view about 10% of what is out there being offered, I do not see this as a bad thing. Many different people with different viewing preferences in this country. Personally, I have no use for shows like TBBT. Profit is to the economy as food is to a living organism. With no profit, civilization would die by returning to tribal thievery.

    I think Throbbn was referring to the fact that even a man with lesser mental faculty could see that Mack Brown's time at UT was drawing to an end. His statement was predicated on a statement I had made. I actually saw Earl do the interview and it seemed to me the Boosters urged him to make a statement. Though his name may stir something in UT fans, he has no business, as sad as this may be, on national media spouting about anything university related.

    yeah, I get all that and agree. just saying that when supply was limited, it was really special to see "the big game". The economics work because its no longer "one size fits all".

    Variety is King and although the aggregate number of viewers is greater, each incremental game on smaller outlets do not require max audiences in order to be profitable. For better or worse, ESPN changed the business model by collecting a fee from Cable providers to broadcast their programming while also running commercials and collecting that revenue as well. At the beginning, not many could have believed that ESPN would be a cash cow outpacing the mighty ABC, but it happened ...

    I meant that Merlin's comment seemed to indicate that a man with brain trama could clearly perceive the problem the Coach was having ... and I also qualified my response to indicate that did not find it funny that the man experiences health problems ...
