That's half way down into the canyon. It takes a couple hours to hike down there, and about 4 or 5 hours to get back up. Near the lower end of the copse of trees there's a ranger station and a camp site. My sister and her husband made the hike years ago. Years ago I may have made the hike too but I wouldn't even attempt it today, unless they brought you back up on a helicopter.

 

You shared that link with me in another thread, not sure which. The pics are great. I think I said something about liking the fact that you included the trees in your photographs.

I think the average age of people who frequent this thread is somewhere north of 40. Thore is retired and in his 60s. Throb and Inuk are in their 30s. I think Ice is too. Not sure about One. I think merlin is in his 40s as well. pm is perpetually 29.
