Great pic! The desert looks so.....strange. Like, even the sky...you can tell its not the sky im seeing

Bro,I really had to make peace with the idea that I might lose everything and there was only so much prep I could do. It was a very somber experience. A lot of people did lose everything.

 

I know exactly what you mean. Even the clouds seem to have a different texture to them. The Sonora sees a lot more clouds than the Mojave Desert. In Vegas, it wasn't unusual to see no clouds at all for a week. Then a few mares tails would show up and then nothing again for days.

Lately here we've been having these spectacular orange/pink sunsets the likes of which I've never experienced before anywhere. Should another one occur I plan to get pics of it.

It was very heartbreaking to see all the destruction.

 

I will be looking forward to seeing those pics. I will head to Oklahoma as I mentioned, to get my mother when the time comes. The sky out there is similar to the desert sky or will it feel more familiar?

 

Oklahoma is big sky country (Montana's slogan). I think you'll like it.
