    When the people who work with it say the pc isn't working good and higher ups say they have to work with it till it's dead, then it's easy to kill the pc so it needs to be replaced.

    Thinking of getting a Chromebook. Anyone have any thoughts?

    They seem quit capable for simple stuff like browsing the internet and e-mail, etc. Very portable and WAY less than an iPad. :D

    Just got one for my mom recently. I really like it. I haven't explored all of its capabilities yet but for accessing the internet it's perfectly suited. Bargain price, too.

    My only bitch about it is that the letters on the keyboard keys are in lower case, which is kind of stupid and takes a bit of getting used to. Gimmicks, who needs 'em? :roll:

    speaking of drop. I had a work laptop that I dropped ... they replaced the hard drive and made me finish the rest of the lease. It was less than a year to go - probably 6 months. I thought for sure I'd get a new one ... FUCKERS! pennywise & pound foolish! you'd never do that at home - you'd just get a new machine.

    I remember when you had to justify why you needed a laptop & VPN (because of the additional expense) .... now they give everyone a laptop/VPN. So people bring work home ... and they more than get back the few extra dollars of expense.
