You live in USA or Canada, right? If so, then I understand where your confusion comes from. You're probably surrounded by fatties and you have wrong perception of what's underweight, what's overweight, and what is average. According to Wikipedia over 60% of the citizens of those two countries are overweight. Something more, obesity in those two countries is a "growing health concern, which is expected to surpass smoking as the leading cause of preventable morbidity and mortality"...
The extra weight doesn't make you look more "realistic" as you are stating, it makes you unattractive and unhealthy. I bet you are fat yourself.

My intent was not comparison between american and european women, I'm just saying that if you are american than Miranda would normally be too skinny for you, because the average american woman is 2-3 times bigger than her and your criterion is based on your circle, living in the worlds fattest country.

I'm fairly certain you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. Are you a Doctor? Do you have any kind of education as a nutritionist or health specialist in any way?

If so, then please explain what the term 'underweight' means and how weight is precisely correlated to health.

If you can't do that, then you are probably just peddling the same mindless crap spewed out by mass media to make fat people, and people who can't control themselves and see their waistlines expanding, feel better for their physical state.

The term 'underweight' refers to the Body Mass Index. The Body Mass Index is designed to be used by people who lead sedentary lives to give them a general indicator of their health, and whether or not they need to rethink their diets and/or get more exercise. The BMI is also used by the people described above to chart improving or declining health as their weight increases or decreases.

Now, generally speaking, the BMI can be useful. If you have a teenage girl who isn't eating enough and the BMI shows her as being 'underweight' and her weight is dropping, it can serve as an early warning sign before she suffers poor health. Likewise, if somebody is eating too much or not getting enough exercise, they'll see their BMI score increasing and know they need to change something.

However, BMI is irrelevant for people who maintain their weight, provide themselves with the nutrition they require, and get regular exercise. The BMI is not supposed to be used in any way to determine the health of such people, such people being models and athletes, some of which are defined as 'underweight', while some of them are defined as 'obese'.

As far as this conversation is concerned the things important to health are nutrition, exercise, and body fat percentage. The essential body fat percentage for a woman is 10-13%. So long as the body fat percentage is maintained above that, while adequate nutrition is provided, there is no health risk. In fact, you'd be hard pressed to find anybody in better shape.

Her body fat is visibly higher than 13%, so why exactly do you think she should be 'gaining a few pounds' of (what I assume you intend to be) body fat? How will that benefit her, exactly?

Enough of your mindless rhetoric regarding 'fondling skeletons'. The malice you hold towards thin people is obvious. The only reason you think 'adding a few pounds' would make her 'more realistic' is because you live in a society in which people do not exercise, and in which achieving such a figure would thus only be possible through starvation. That is why you equate thinness with being unhealthy, because you think she is starving. She isn't, she's exercising. If she were starving she would not be able to maintain her measurements, something which all models have to do.
