While I don't doubt that India has bad dirvers, using Ice Road Truckers as your basis isn't the best idea, I would not be surprised if every single thing in that video is staged.

Trust me......none of that is staged......I have been on roads like that and that's exactly how it is.......although I'm certain his reactions were staged.

 

Since you don't drive it probably looks like total madness, which it is, but I've been driving for 35 years so it looks more challenging than flat out insane. That's why I think it would be fun.

People drive like shit everywhere. You just get used to it.

 

You have dogs, cows, bullock-carts roaming around..........you have poor kids running on the streets.......vendors setting up stalls on street edges so that the street is made even smaller.........bikes dashing everywhere.....even on pavements......people just refusing to move......you can honk 50 times but they won't move......then if your car even touches them they'll start yelling........and if you hit a homeless kid.....then that's it.....you're fucked as Hell........I remember years ago when I was in a cab and the whole road was jammed up......started asking what had happened......and so poor guy had accidentally run over a slum kid....pretty much everybody from the slum had run out and were beating the shit out of that guy on the street....and trashing his car.......I paid the cab fare and got the fuck out of there on foot.
