It's a photo album of a transsexual (guy to girl) - nothing explicit, just shots of him as a young boy, growing up into the teens, through hormone therapy as a high school dropout and to current day as a woman in grad school.

 

I guess. Some people are never satisfied until they can validate their existence, hoping against hope that the rest of us will understand that they have doubts about life and its consequences, complications and complexities. I think people are who they decide they should be, not who people expect them to be. There are plenty of persuasive arguments that point to the fact that biology is molecular, but they discount the fact that where humans are concerned it's more mind over matter than matter over mind. We are belabored by insight, intelligence and consciousness. Our acute sentience is more a curse than a miracle.

Reading through her posts about her experience, I can see part of it is that she may want to justify her decision to become a woman. But I also think it's refreshing that she's so open about it, receptive to feedback and her attitude seems to be more of "sharing" than "explaining".

I dunno, could be reading it wrong - I just found it fairly enlightening; while I'm cool with gays and lesbians, I still get a little weirded out by transsexuals as it's a major "physical bodily change" their making and sometimes I feel their doing it to escape their reality... reading through her posts and seeing her experience through those images made me realize I may have been a bit ignorant on my assumptions of transsexuals.

 

I have no problems with transexuals or bisexuals or homosexuals or unisexuals or any sexuality whatsoever.

In a larger sense it's an identity crisis, which we can all relate to. I have mine and you have yours. When people try to make theirs out to be something special is when I get annoyed with them.

 

It could also be a chemical hormonal imbalance.

 

So? That's not what drives people to act out socially.

 

What about no-sex-at-allity?
