  2. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

    it all depends on how you search. Some of it is due to our search engine but there are ways to improve the searching.

    Not sure how you're searching so I'll assume the worst.

    Can't just type in the standard search window, hit enter and expect good results -- if you type two parts of a name it'll look through the whole site for both those words and give you every thread that mentions either. Obviously not a great start.

    So gotta use Advanced Search. Once you're there select the Search Single Content Type tab[SUP]1[/SUP] at the top, then confine your searching to thread titles only[SUP]2[/SUP] and selecting whichever forum you want to hunt in[SUP]3[/SUP] from the menu under Additional Options. That'll help narrow the search down loads.

    Those are the settings I use and usually there's very little dross to sift through... I just tried it with Emma Stone and it's a huge improvement.

    1 Direct link to that part of Advanced Search is http://forum.phun.org/search.php?search_type=1 Once you've gone there a few times your browser's auto-complete settings might allow you to go there directly by just typing advanced in the URL bar

    2 Popup tab to right of the Keywords window.

    3 If you want it to look in more than one Ctrl-click for multiple selections.
