AFK for a while...it has stopped raining and the streets have drained the last water away, so I am going to take the dogs for a walk.....they have not had one in several days.

I laid down for a few minutes. Ahhh.

 

My power washer was delivered about noon today....spent several hours reading all the stuff and assembling it.....would have christened it, but it did not stop raining until about 5 PM here....got sprinkled on while walking the dogs....

 

I can't believe all the rain that you're getting. Incredible.

 

Some areas are approaching 20 inches, like around Apalachicola....

We are just soggy here.....the fact that the rain fall has been spread out and not concentrated, i.e. low intensity vs high intensity, our drainage systems can handle it. we have creeks in Gainesville that all drainage to large prairies that are drained by sinkholes. With the water levels so low before the storm, the storage capacity was high, so with the slow rains, the creeks could carry most all of it to the prairies....

Yep. I'm supposed to work Thursday and Saturday night too. Every other day this week.

 

There's a guy in the apartments next door sitting on the lawn in back of his apartment, singing his ass off and playing guitar. It's carrying all the way over here -- loud. He's been doing it for a week now.
