    Well, it's really not THAT late in the season. I just think it's the impact of having less guys taking PEDs and that hitters are still taking the "all or nothing" approach to batting - everyone loves hitting the bombs, but no one thinks having a high batting average is "sexy". And they're right - having a high batting average isn't sexy - but it's damn important.


    I had popped in and out but workload with new clients has kept me away from Phun time. Which is why today is a welcome bit of relief.

    Yeah, can't complain too much today - like I said, it's a semi-off day for me so just enjoying some Phun time I've been missing as of late. :yup:

    I would think the pitchers' finally have enough work to be on their "A" game. It always seems the hitters have the edge for about the first dozen weeks. You don't think the pitchers' have the edge? Most hitters have a "book" on the tendencies by now.

    Hmm could be that as well - I agree most hitters have an edge early in the season - despite spring training, most pitchers still don't have enough time to feel "fully ready" when the season starts. And even if hitters have a "book" on tendencies, knowing what pitch is coming and making contact with said pitch is still a pretty substantial jump. Just ask any hitter that's faced up against RA Dickey. :lol:

    Well, I suppose... keep in mind, we also saw Josh Hamilton hit four homeruns in one game back in May. :lol:

    The one pattern i do see in the past 10 years when it comes to no-hitters: no-hitters early in the season usually come from pitchers that aren't that established/not well-known. no-hitters that come later in the season/playoffs are from the top 10% of pitchers... the elite pitchers so to speak.

    They'll be fine when Chase and Ryan get back into the line up. I seen Galvis popped on a piss test. Funny thing is, the PEDs weren't helping. Dumbass!!!! Oh well, they are still my team so I'll stick by them.
