    I did it with friends for a week twice....in may of 2005 and 2007. Except for my Bristol trip mentioned ^ I have not been back since.

    Dude, we lived about 45 minutes from the track. Race week was always one long party! All the haulers would piule up at the few hotels and the show cars were everywhere!

    It was an awesome week for us....my friend has between a 40 and 45 foot long RV and we pulled a 10 x 20 trailer with our bikes and gear in it.....stayed in Thunder Valley RV park 0.6 miles north of the speedway....had tram service to and from the track....the place rocked....our neighbor was about 35 yo with a huge rack....it just could not get any better than that!. :D

    Merlin, I am sure NASCAR has cleaned thing up a bit, but I went to the 1981 Daytona 500....a nice warm sunny day....stayed in the infield....I would have to say it should have been a hard R rated...:rofl:

    I went to Darlington over a decade ago and it wasn't rated that well. My brother has since been there, within the last 3 or 4 years, and it is better patrolled. Aah, the good ole days!!!!
