    What sort of car?

it's probably nothing wrong with the wires, there's usually some sort of thing that fail. could be the clock that use too much or some interior light that stay on just a bit, or the stereos memory.

I have been plugging away at the garage now for well over a week.....several trips to the varous recycle centers, Good Will, and put out broadcast emails to friends announcing what I have that I will sell on Craig's List if nobody wants it....took two large dog kennel cages to a friend this morning as they have now semi adopted a grandchild's 7 month old dog.

They've already gone through the obvious options at the shop one time. The trouble is, a previous owner of the car (it's had a couple owners before me) rewired it for a big speaker set in the trunk (which is not there now). So they have to find something that some else changed.

god I hate when they do something like that without knowing what they are doing. and that's a little too big of a thing for me to help you do it yourself.

My wife is an unorganized pack rat. Example, four artificial X-mas trees...:nono:.....and my sons left a bunch of stuff here over the past four years. I just needed to go through it, etc. I have a utility room with an outside door to the back yard that is my next target.....youngest son has two bicycles in there.....the end of this month he is moving into a very large house with several other med students, so he will have room to take some of his "treasures" and find a place for them. Plus, I intend to get back to riding more....have laid off for about 6 months and I need to get back into it as much as I can while retaining a little sense of responsibility....

Pm if its something to do with wiring from a speaker setup than that could be easily tracked down by tracing back yhe wiring assuming that its still in place. If the wiring is no longer in place then it could be that someone rewired the stereo wrong. Seems like the guys at the shop would track that down rather easily unless they are either incompetent or are trying to milk you for money.

The shop is reputable. I had to stop them in the middle of their search because I ran out of money. Simple as that. :)

If i was there i could tell you in about 10-15 mins if it was due to the external speaker setup that used to be in the vehicle
