    It was so far removed from reality. And social network sites like Facebook were not really explained. It was just pointed out how "dangerous" they are for young people. I was the only one in the group who even had a Facebook account. WTF?? And the lecturer was this woman who looked like my 60 year old aunt, who seriously tried to tell us about "ego shooters" and WoW. It was ridiculous.

    Like, the 24 year old guy who was able to finish school with 16 but then did nothing but play WoW until he was suddenly 24 and realized he had no job, no training, nothing.

    Just how professionals can try to help them. Show interest, help looking for alternatives, stationary and ambulant therapy places etc. It was really very general.

    That's about the same. Avoiding life means you are scared of life, of real relationships and their unpredictability. But you still have needs and instead of confronting your fears and learn to deal with relationships, you can find all that you need in the online world, especially in those role player games like WoW, apparently.

    However, you really can be just a slacker and hang out online for 14 hours a day without being addicted.
