very sad about the biker Thore. I know that deer strikes on cars are happy from time to time. I've never heard of a deer striking a bike. hopefully that's very rare.

 

About two years ago, I had a close friend that was riding on the Blue Ridge in NC.....he was rounding a curve with a sheer rock wall on his right......a black bear had fallen off/down the cliff hitting his front wheel. Ain't that unreal? Be taken out by a bear falling off a mountain. He got hurt pretty bad requiring shoulder, elbow and ankle surgery, but he is OK today and of course, still riding. I mean, just how many times can something like that happen to you? :shock:

Seems to me we lose a biker about every 5 years or so due to bike/deer collisions in the North Central Florida area. I worry about riding on back country roads between dusk and dawn, but what can you do except try to be careful and watchful.

 

jep, be careful. watch for cars, pedestrians, deer, bear, etc. :shock:

 

how do you like your chances vs. the Devils Merlin?

 

Turkeys, Buzzards, dogs, hogs, armadillos, raccoons, possums, cows, horses............

 

There are several persons and groups that I will not ride with as they almost always drink to much....don't want to be around when the inevitable happens. :|

 

if all goes well, maybe the Flyers will play the Ranger next.

then all civility will be strained!

 

Going to rest my back side.......and take a break for a few minutes.....maybe grab some lunch while I am at it. should be back by 12:30 (30 minutes) or earlier.
