    Have we ever thought about having members post the dates as "March 13, 2012" instead of 03/13/12?

    I noticed that there are members who post the dates differently(sometimes it depends on where you live) even though they mean the same thing. :2cent:

    Yes, often! It's only in the second half of each month that the situation becomes clear - whether 08/03/11 translates as the 8th of March or the 3rd of August depends on which national convention you're operating, whereas we all have to agree that 13/03/12 or 03/13/12 can only be 13th of March!

    I like your suggestion - simple and effective - but getting consensus might be a problem. But it's worth trying!

    I have no say but my take is that spelling it out takes more space in the thread topic. 12/01/12 is 8 spots. December 01, 2012 is 17 spots. Everyone wants Adds in the titles now so the more room made at the start the better imo

    The usual abbreviations would largely overcome your concern. Dec is only one character longer than 12 and could be incorporated into the usual date format - Dec/01/12, or 01/Dec/12, thereby removing all confusion!
