thats the whole idea i suppose, step out of this time completely and into some other time period
it was very interesting. making armor is very hard work, i wished i would have finished it but life got int he way.
my friends was very nice, and very few soft spots so to speak. and when one was found he worked on getting it covered up.
those sticks they use are rattan, they really sting like a mother.

you know what, i think you may be not so correct there
take eating. to eat you had to either kill skin and cook or buy something
and money was really hard to come by
so kill skin cook. that means catch first.
or raise. so you can raise that would be easier
but for that you need land
land is expensive
so .. again.. money hard and all

so i myself would end up catching
now ive tried to catch food
and short of the drive through window
i have never achieved my goal
therefor i would be

You forgot grow, as in agriculture. That was the main source of nutrition for most people.

Just because you can't hunt doesn't mean others would likely to be inept at it.

 

I'd love to visit one of those places.

i think if i had grown up doing it i would be fine, i think that life was a lot of hard work back then
i know it was a lot for the people i talk to that grew up in the west Virgina mountains, that was more or less middle ages living. but i guess some of them had power
my grand parents did no have power as young children and gramps had an outhouse till about 11 or 12
running water, i never asked them about that.. i shall sometime, but the part about working... yup they did a shit ton of that

It was an agrarian life. People worked hard but that was the norm. As for plumbing and all that, since it didn't exist it wasn't a consideration. You can't miss what you never had in the first place.

But just imagine how clean and clear the air was? And the only ambient noise was whatever nature conjured up aside from the occasional human sound. No background rumble of traffic, no roar of jets overhead, no machinery or recorded sounds. Unless you're out in the middle of bumblefuck you can't get away from noise in this word.
