Phree is extremely aware of how hard his mother and I have worked all of our lives.....and is extremely appreciative of our assistance. I hear what you are saying, but I suspect once he begins to generate an income, he will resent the high taxes just as much as I do for the government to squander it on wasteful, inefficient and ineffective spending....I think he knows that there is no such than as a free lunch.....somebody(s) somewhere(s) is working to pay for it.

 

You, and me both sweets. I've got a Bowflex in my bedroom that has made an excellent clothes hanger for far too long. I used to hit it like a beast when it was first purchased, and I need to get back on it.
My workouts of late have consisted of a wee bit of ladder climbing at work, and the lifting of weights 16 ounces at a time recently. I'm getting soft in the middle. :sad:

I have adddressed my blood pressure which has been insanely high for 6 months
my diastolic was over 115

I'm glad you're taking care of biz beautiful, but the BP numbers are foreign to me. I'm "that guy" that doesn't go to the doctor. I haven't had a full, thumb in the ass physical since I was 18 at the MEPS center in Portland. Unless I have a limb hanging by a tendon, I don't do the doctor thing........ .Big phobia. :wink:

 

lol I was at MEPS at 19....signing up..before my Grandfather had the biggest fit in the world and said "No Grandaughter of mine is going into infantry"

The "economy" forced both the wife and I into early retirement and I have not been able to find much work. Our annual income in down about $90K. That with educational expenses (one son in medical school and the other just finished his Master's degree (see other previous posts) is the cause of the current tight finances. Things should get better in the not so distant future....especially if the engineering consulting work increases. Daytona Bike week costs me between $800 and $1,000. This is the second year in a row I have not had that available.

 

My wife's Dad was forced into retirement too. He was lucky and found a job as a part-time professor at a tech college
