The reason none of that exists is profits. Profits for oil companies. I understand that profit is the name of the game, but the game has been twisted by lobbying and politics to the detriment of the country. I absolutely agree that there is no reason why the US is so far behind every other developed country in exploring renewable resources, but for the fact that oil companies can pay off congress to limit use of solar, wind, etc. to create an increased demand for oil. Further, the oil companies reduce refineries to create an artificial supply issue. Without profits the country will go on, there would be a re-equilibration of the markets. The world doesn't end if a major corporation goes under. For example, during the latest economic crisis, it's the difference between letting a couple of the banks go into bankruptcy and letting the whole car industry go into bankruptcy.

yep. it was so good I even had today off.

 

I am good. Just got back from a nice weekend with the family. Spent a few days with the wife. Saw Dad, Mom, Grandma, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews (cousins kids really) also.

How was your weekend?

It's sad that we even have to develop an etiquette for double posts. I am not aware of one, but I almost always 'thank' the first one. I figure that if someone is going to potentially delete a duplicate post, that the later post would be sacrificed. :biglaugh:
