My pm to cayne was fairly lengthy.....

I see where you dropped into the Igloo inquiring about performance issues. I would like to answer you question more than did those in the Igloo at the time of your visit.

1) frequent double posting

2) I get on average 50% of the time the pop up asking to leave or stay on the page. The occurs approximately 30 seconds after clicking quick reply.

3) 25% of the time after clicking leave the page, 30 or more seconds pass before there is any change to the screen....the screen appears that says 25 seconds is required between posts. This means the post has been "registered" and will appear in the thread. To avoid double posting, one must click the back page icon in the header followed by refreshing the page at least once and ofter two or more times. This entire process requires over two minutes to complete.

4) This past weekend the process described in #3 above was followed; however, after clicking to leave the page, one to minutes would pass before the 502 or 504 error was displayed (gateway error or timed out error). Sometimes, the post was registered, but there was not way of knowing that. So, beside the irritation of the time involved, you would double post out of ignorance.

Now there are periods when the performance is normal and frequently extremely fast...such as only 4 seconds after clicking quick response to proper display in the thread (screen shows your post in the thread. There is a quirk however that occurs fairly frequently.....that is, you are returned to the thread several pages back. I have been booted back to page 1 several times.

I hope this helps and I do feel it is a more complete description of the issues many of us continue to experience in the Igloo thread. Thank you for this opportunity to convey this to you.
