Love it and hate it all at the same time. Cayne jumped into the Igloo for a second. I missed him, but he said that the host provider couldn't recreate the issues that people are experiencing. Sorry but that is bullshit. They must not be trying at all if they can't recreate it.

 

Yeah you're right. The question is; how did they go about trying to "recreate the issues" we experience? What the provider needs to do is grab their own personal laptop, register here and then try posting on the board.

 

I saw a 'super-moderator' create a 'test thread' and make 2 posts earlier today. Then probably about the time he left, the whole board locked up for about 10 minutes. I highly doubt that coming in as a super-moderator through what ever channel they used is recreating what the average user is experiencing.

And unless someone's infraction is a clear violation of the rules I wouldn't go to that extreme anyway. Plus, for the time being my area of responsibility is more or less General Talk.

 

If someone posted a bunch of playboy pics in the model forum, would you recommend them for a ban?

From time to time there have been some very highly charged debates that have led to bans. Silly if you ask me. My purview is to keep people active and involved. And if they need the occasional reminder to keep it civil and not revert tp 10 year olds, I'll do that too.
