I share your desire but lack the balls to try it.

However, I had a friend who one night was going opposite ways as a cop who then pulled a three point turn with the intention of pulling my friend over for speeding. My friend floored it. As he approached his street he slammed on the breaks and was going so fast that he ended up sliding a block past his turn (probably once he realized he was going to make it he coasted to the next street). But then he flew to his house and hide his car in his garage. Then he stood on his deck and had a cigarette. About 5 mins later a cop drove by, but he escaped.

It was actually a joint, not a cigarette... but the rest is pretty much the case. :439:

mall cops dont count, i mean the fuckers with the guns lights and real radios

    i was gonna run once,
i was mounted in a 1967 camaro RS, SS with high performance 350 and monte carlo disc breaks among some other major modifications.
i saw him flip around and lights come on and just nailed it.
i get to the end of the street
laid heavy left and the camaro (as they tend to do) whent strait ish
i touched the brakes to get the front to grip, so the back popes loose,
well two out of four not sticking at all and the two that had grip were on the edge.. i then ran out of space and perched the car atop a 8" tall curb.
the center member ( the one that hold the motor in" was setting o concert, the front wheels were dangling off the gourd and the rear were maxed out on suspension and barely touching. i grabbed a fist full of revers and hit it gas. but all that happed was the rear lifted under the torque and they tires never squeaked till they slowed to a stop.
as the officer calmly walked to my winder, i thought, well the chase is over. ive not done as well as expeced, but there is a possibility he didnt really he was chasing

i rolled down my winder, car still grumbling and popping its idling note
mind shutting it off he said in a tone that clearly was masking the "you done yet" sarcasm he wanted to say
i turned off the motor, it was over
    you a.... you done yet?
i thought i had spared myself that question.. so i sat there and thought... "not really sure officer, can you look up front and tell me, are the wheels off the ground?

he sort of leaned forward and back with a very stone looks "yup'

and the back tires, im guessing they are well off the pavement as werll then?

witout glancing he said "pretty much"

well then sir, im done.. what can i help you with?

he then asked teh next obvious question "you want to take moment to get your story together before you start telling em what the hell that was

ive always felt i had a quick wit, so si shot back, no no i think i pretty much have it, let e asked, why specially did you want to pull me over
(this next part kinda stung a bit)

well when i went to make a u turn to back my car in my driveway, you took off like a bat out of hell. so throughout i might come along and see what you were up to. hell it might be fun, theni when i was you went going to make this corner, i thought damn good thing im here becouse he is going to need a hand getting that car off that curb, then when your car landed on the curb, i kinda took a moment to congratulate myself for picking your landing spot almost perfect. and now im here to see your license, witch im guessing is suspended and your registration, but first is this your car?

    yes sir, its mine.

seems fast, what do you you have in it

350 punched 60 over in a 327 modified block and crank long duration cam Mallory duel point ignition locked at 30 degrees advanced and a two speed power glide.

and not a clue on how to work it i see.

as i was sitting on a curb it would take a tow truck to get me off of, i really found it hard to find merit to argue his statesmen. but i tried but lucly none of those works feel out

im going to give you a ticket, im not sure which one.. we have kind of a book we can go through and pick the one that best souts teh crime as im sure your aware os, so well. this may take a minute

i did not get a ticket i got a warning. he said the towing fees woud be penitently enough
he said im glad it turned out i wasnt running becouse i would be in jail, he was sure l was wasn't running becouse i dont drive well enough to do something that difficult.

i was sitting on a curb so once again found myself sort of word to argue

got a warning and told to "pull my head out of my ass"

as a side not, i put the car in reverse and gently pulled it off the curb. i busted the right header and flatted my right front tire.
so yes. the ticked would hve been lees.

    BG, cheers to you.

That was one helluva entertaining yarn to read through, bad spelling et al, ;)

Question tho - why did you decide to nail it? Just cuz you wanted to? or did you have an expired license or something?

i was at a more or less un-busy feeder road to the main road 35th avenue just north of cactus in phoenix, i was about 21 years old, i had been pulled about 12 times in as many weeks, and i figured if he wanted me ill let him have it, but im not making this easy anymore, i would often see them, and just pull, they didnt even turn on there lights. im hitting 35 to 40 over, im getting a ticket. back then it was 2 points a pop. i got 18 in 6 months and lost my privilege for 6 months (not from this event from getting so many speeding tickets so fast). so, thats why, i just had seen enough of them.
and ive always wanted to give it a whack see how good i could do.
they've upped teh penalties so high on that sort of game, it would never be worth the losse, its a major crime now. years in jail and such.

ill have you know ive never hit anything in my own driveway, came ... oh wait, i ran over my pickup truck bed shell with my dually.

just thought i would try and put that in there so you knew i was a really good driver,...
    so scratch that.

im not sure if this is real
oh iknow there are people out there dumb enough to do this
and i know that it pretty much probably is real
but i guess i just dont really want to believe that its real
we cant have evolved into this, for two reasons
first, being evolution itself, we simply do not present ourselves as a dominating species when our minds are so simple that this is what is considered worth writing. simply no way, people who read and write stiff like this choke at a young age on ice cubes or fall off of high things after they antecedently climb over teh rail and wander to the edge and say, "hey watch this"
or second, if this is real, and well god... see, i cant help but look at the hate, horrible hate, the degradation of another human, the judgmental superiority that is being flaunted and think... god... there is nothing here that is "in gods path" but everything to do with that other dood we all so love to hang around with.
    frustraiting me to my core.

BG, why does it surprise you at all that, that was written? I mean, for fuck sakes... Glenn Beck has written 10 books, all of them supposedly NY bestsellers!

The great majority of people, especially Americans, are close-minded in their ways... thinking is too much work, ya know. ;)

    Back later, getting hungry.

i looked like this, lower in the front (witch did not help it up that curb at all) no air damn on the front after that night, and just left it off. the car had side pipes when i got it, big long 5 foot long chrome side pipes
    they looked cool
but were awful for the performance, so when i rebuilt the motor i changed all the exhaust to a slip on 3 inch system
i could run up the RPM and from the back pressure the pipes would slip off the headers letting 11:1 compression come to life
at a stop light.. i had the 202 fuelie heads milled down as far as i could to get the compression up as high as i could, then i used a very expensive copper head gasket, it was half a millimeter thick, but a pain in the ass to get to seat right. anyway, it also added to the compression. the entire kit cost about 1000 (1986) dollars to put together but the thing i loved the most was when i realized i could mount a set of Monte 'Carlo disk breaks on the front end, and slip the power break booster under the hood. over night i went from drum manual brakes that works.. almost to 12" rotors and enough stopping power to heal a car twice its wight and size. it was a fun car after that. lots of mods, always tweaking and tinkering. i made the hood and fenders all pop off with just a few bolts, so i could lift it all up out of the way for even the easiest repairs.

and repair i did. i how have come to realize the only thing that ever really worked perfectly on that car was the hood hinges, they were used almost every day and never broke or failed.
