I honestly am impressed by people that can work full-time and/or have kids and go to school. I couldn't do it.

I am no spring chicken. I was a little worried about competing with kids, but it has been easier then I thought. The only friction is having something in common with other students socially.

Yep, I would do high school again. I think I would be seriously chasing tail knowing know what I didn't have to lose by trying. I regret what I didn't try might be a better way to say that.

Initially, my motivation was to retain my student deferment from the draft as well over 200 GIs were being killed a week over there at that time. While working, my GPA was about 2.5. When the draft was no longer an issue, I dropped out of the U of F for two years and worked a full time job drafting in an engineering office and two part time jobs. My only time off was three Sundays a month. I saved enough money to go back to finish my last year without having to work.....My GPA for that last year was 3.6.....I had enough time to study enough and get all of the assigned work done on time. I finally graduated with a BS in Civil Engineering in August of 1975 at the age of 25.

In my early 30's, I was a regular guest speaker for graduate courses in Public Works Administration in the College of Engineer....In just that short time since graduating I was surprised to discover I no longer had much of anything in common with majority of the Student body any longer....was kind of a bummer. :?

It won't be long till we'll be back up there. Already had days in the low/mid 60's mixed in here and there.

Didn't have kids yet but I had no choice but to work a full time job, was already married and living on our own.

I can see that with them. How old are you if you don't mind me asking?
