I live in a town that's populated by about 6000 people that's in a Northern latitude (not an Inuk Latitude mind you, but North nonetheless). We get (if were lucky) 4-5 months of greenery on the shrubbery. However....this year/winter Al Gore, and Global Warming seem to have taken a hold of things, and me likey. Ordinarily, I'd have 2 feet of ice, and snow on the ground but this year/today.....it was in the mid 40's, and I see patches of bare ground on my lawn. The Tulips will be blooming shortly if this keeps up. :wink:

Mild winter all over North America, but the cause isn't global warming or climate change. It's a condition in the Central Pacific know as La Nina. Enjoy it while you can because it won't last more than a year or two.

I just enjoy the hell out of solidifying the fact that Al Gore is a hypocritical ass bro. :wink: It (La Nina) could go away tomorrow, and I'd still be pleased. I remember winters as a yoot here where the Mercury didn't get above zero, and we had 40 below wind chill factors for more than a week. Unscared. :wink:

Gore isn't a hypocrite, climate change is real and it's happening. What exactly is causing it is complex combination of things. But the climate is always in a state of flux anyway. We should all be relieved that it isn't as violently unpredictable as it was 20,000 years ago. We got it easy.

We had some killer winters like that in Chicago when I was growing up, that's why I don't live north of the Mason/Dixon line. Takes too much resolve.
