The Attention Deficit Disorder Thread

My mom would make it for herself from time to time, but since no one else in the family cared for liver it was a personal indulgence. I never could get past the smell back then. Once I was at a friend's home and he invited me to stay for dinner. his mother made liver and onions, but the way she prepared it didn't seem so... piquant? ...so I wasn't aware that was what she was preparing. I have to admit I was reluctant to eat when I discovered what was being served - I didn't want to seem ungrateful for the invite, etc - so I just went with it. And it was fantastic!

I've never had it prepared so well since then and have given up on it.

 

There are a few dishes I hated as a child which I love now. Like asparagus. Never liked the taste when I was younger, then tried it again in my twenties and BOOM!!! Suddenly bananas!!!

 

I might have to start doing some work now. :tired:

Broiled asparagus is to die for.

I never cared for eggs until I was around 19.

Or pretend to.

 

I'm a very picky eater..........dont' like eggs at all sam i am......Asparagus is good if cooked right.......One of the few veggies i actually like,,,,,,,,,,

 

I was a picky eater as a kid but a few lean financial years in my adulthood fixed me of that particular conceit.

Walking to the store when some dude on the other side of the street (Tropicana Blvd is 6 lanes wide) calls out to me, Hey man, come here!

I'm like, as if. So I call out, You want something, you come to me!

Needless to say, he didn't. It's like when strangers whistle to get your attention. I ignore 'em. I'm not a fuckin' dog.

 

That's creepy.

 

It's not very unusual. He probably wanted a cigarette or something equally picayune.

 

Or to mug and kill you.

Mugger : I think I'll mug somebody today.......should I....I kind of want to.......but I don't really feel like it..........it's just so much trouble.....what if he struggles....I'd have to kill him......just so much work.........but then again I'm so hungry and sober......okay, I'll do it.....there....there is somebody , I'll mug him...........HEY, GUY.....COME HERE!!

Mugger : ......fuck this.....I'm just going to bed.

 

That's the gist of it, yeah.

It never ceases to amaze me how ignorant some people can be.
