so imagine if you get home from work and get to ease drop on a conversation thats been going on all day, but really should have take about 5 min at most

 

sort of but not exactly my point
i was listening to a guy try to defend venture capitol companies. (some of these are good and some arnt) but he was defending the lot saying they were good for the economy. the other person was saying they may be good but needed to have regulations and watchdogs.

his arguments were fairly solid, and he was defending his point ok. but he was wrong, no im not saying his argument was wrong, im saying the way he said everything was with a hint of sarcasm, he tended to more or less very subtlety talk down to anybody he was addressing. even the people on his side it was if you didnt agree with him you were more than just wrong, you were the problem. more or less OVER arguing his point.

it was the same thing with the run up to the war so long ago, each time they defended there point it was like, either your with us or get out.

im finding more and more that if a person has this attitude about what they are saying, they are most likely not right.
they may completely believe they are right, they may have a great argument, but that twinge of sarcasm, that subtle over the top... it gives it away

 

I reached down in my soul and found my last bit of decency to muster the ability to come see you, dont make that a bad idea

I agree....sort off.......the attitude I probably derived from having to defend their point repeatedly to people.

 

I tend to dismiss the snobbishly confident people out of hand.
