Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

True, no one has successfully conquered Afghanistan. Frankly, it has no strategic value these days. The Soviets saw it as a potential naval gateway to the Indian Ocean - even though it's land locked. I wonder what they would have done next had their occupation been a success? Pakistan? Iran? :33:

Fuck nutz psychotic is all together different. Caligula definitely is a front runner for that title.

im not sure, i still dont know what they truly intended with Afghanistan
the only fun story for me that came out of all that was the fact that We (america) first helped them fight for their Independence, only to have that same exact people we helped come back as Alquita or however you spell that.

    funny stuff dood.
goes to show, you simply must watch who you teach what.
a lesson we have still failed to learn.

you right it doesn't but thats what they did, same as the romans did
they couldn't possibly maintain an army that could patrol and keep that much earth secure.
so they would send a person that they trusted to more or less rule over the locals. then they would use money and power as a tool to recruit locals to do their bidding.
then once the locals are settled, and the place starts to run normally, they move those new recruits into the army proper and go take the next town. and on and on
this is a method as old at time. however, its very sketchy at best, your turning your enemy into you ali and then teaching them to fight to some degree
mind you the real military maintained a clear edge, but yes locals.

as far as ive been learned

Right. And where the Romans (and others) failed, the Spanish and English took it one step further by introducing religious conversion to help cement their position. It was a way of getting all those far flung and wholly different cultures under one flag. One God, One Nation.
