Not all the time.....but usually at least 4 to 5 hours a day were good. Could have done 200 a day if the igloo and phun was like it was 2 years ago....:?

The more or less warm weather I've encountered lately chased my head cold away. I had a bit of a battle with a stomach bug over the New Year holiday though. That sucked.

 

I think Florida is the mosquito state.........they can be a nuisance here for 9 months out of the year if the weather conditions are right.....Heart worm prevention meds are essential here.....

 

I am definitely just about over it......still cough some (in a lung purging mode). I expect to be back to normal in another day or so.......but I am not pushing it as I don't have to!

 

Hard to believe the Igloo will be 2 years old at the end of the month. Doesn't seem that long ago that Sancho and Juicehead666 Random Chat was the place to be. Time flies when you're spammin' I guess.

They were pretty prevalent in the swamp too but I've never encountered any skeeters in the lower 48 anything like the monsters up in northern Canada and Alaska when I was up there a couple decades ago. One of those giant fuckers could suck a chihuahua dry. :shock:

Friends and relatives that are or have lived in Alaska confirm your statement; however, I seem to recall that they said they only have about a 6 week season as compared to our 9 month season.....Also, I am sure that Louisiana has a few skeeters too.

You're right about the short season up there. But it's 6 weeks of Mosquito Hell. They fucking swarm in massive clouds. It's impressive and friggin creepy/scary at the same time.

And yeah, New Orleans had a pretty invigorated skeeter population.

I wast just thinking that was an awfully quick "5 hours."
