Never been a big fan of their all-in-ones. Laserjets have always been good to us though.

:wavey: Not much. That was a quick nap.

I'm never been a fan of those all in one machines either.. got a colorlaserprinter now and an old scanner, not going back to inkjet printers, but I'd like a faster scanner though

Never had an "all in one" unit before.....like now, I have always had a HP Laserjet (B/W) and a HP Scanner (1200 x 2400) The scanner is slow but very reliable. Never had any trouble over the years with these HP products.

Those are expensive, and the cartridges are unreal too. We've got one networked here in the dept. but I don't use it unless it's a must for a training class or something. Works well though.

I've got a cheap all-in-one at home, the son's the only 1 that uses it for his school stuff. When the cartridges go out I'll probably just trash it and get another if needed. I can always put his essays on a thumb drive and print them for him here at work. As long as he don't need the scanner part.

I don't like having all those functions tied up in one unit/machine......don't like a minor glitch taking out 3 or 4 functions.

yup the cartridges are crazy expensive.. but I use my printer so rarely that whenever I needed to print something using the inkjet printers I had to go and buy a new one since the old one had dried up and just couldn't be used anymore

 I was just out side and my grass is not the same color as it was yesterday.....gone from a bright medium green to a dark gray-green.....I think grass mowing is over for a while......but will still have to run the mower to pick up the leaves for a bit longer. :?

    Same here.

We've got a few high speed color networked copier/printer/scanner floating around here too that are on maint. No idea what the maint. cost is but they replace everything under it, which is good for us but not the company..lol.

That was my experience with inkjets....as I used to run both the b/w laserjet and a color inkjet. Pissed me off so much I just dumped the inkjet and have not been able to print in color now for over 4 years. Cheaper to take a file on a thumb drive up to a place to have it printed than to maintain an inkjet...:yup:

I think it's roughly $100(a little less) per cartridge, and there are 5 of them in this printer

the whole printer equipped with paint was just ~~$90 though

should get around 4000 pages from the ones I got though and since it doesn't matter if I wait 10 years between the prints it's still gonna work

My experience is that the cartridges are expensive, but the last me years.....so with that and the convenience, laser-jet is my chosen path.....
