  2. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

    Not really, if it can't print it stays in offline mode. All the ones i've ever seen do anyway.

    If i would use my all-in one just for the scanner then it shouldn't matter if there was no cartridge in it

    but I don't want it to print, I want it to scan... stupid.

    It just kept nagging me to take out the right cartridge and check it, when I changed to an old empty one it still had to align the printerheads too before it could change to scanner mode.

    That's the way all of them I've ever worked on have acted. All HP's and several different models. If the contacts on the cartridge were'nt making contact with the sensors it wouldn't go online no matter what you did.
