Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

    What's the symbolic New Year sign over in Germany? I mean, in the US we have the the New Year's ball dropping in New York (sometimes it's an apple) and the decrepit Dick Clark hosting the New Year festivities.

    I've checked out the Times Square cam, getting crowded there... :D
    Wish I could experience that once in my life.

    Here, the usual symbols for New Year's Eve are fireworks, sparkling wine, lucky clovers, lucky pigs and chimney sweeps... all the lucky charms that are supposed to bring you luck for the new year. :)

    The big party in Germany is in Berlin at the Brandenburger Tor. That's the one they show on TV, at least.
