Yeah that is the impression i have gotten of them. Eat anything they can get their paws on. :yes_new:

 

Forgot about them, there's a few of them around too. There's also armadillos that have a pretty decent population here now. Wouldn't be surprised if they've made as far east as you are.

I've seen 1 years ago actually, creeped me the hell out. It yelled out at a buddy and me while we were deer hunting. We got the hell out of the woods after that.

And we will fall again. Such is the ways of power house programs in college football...up and down.

I'm sure it is. My oldest turns 16 in a few months, not that it compares by any means, but I'm not looking forward to the additional car payment and worse than that, the insurance myself.

 

I think one got into the barn of a neighboor to my granddad a few years back. They tried to scare out with a hunting dog bad decision. I think they managed to lure it outside from a window near the ceiling. The dog got some deep wounds from the felines claws.

Armadillos....are you kidding? They are as thick as flies here. Destructive little bastards! They root like midget pigs and destroy yards, landscaping, etc. We have several in my neighborhood alone....I have holes in my yard at present from them.....if I lived in the country, I would blast the bastards, but would be arrested if I did that where I live.....good ol' suburbia.....

 

I remember those times.....yes, it cost more $, but for me, the benefit of not having to chauffeur them everywhere made it worth while. I remember a bumper sticker from back in those days..."My kids drive me crazy......and I drive them everywhere else" So true.

Hopefully, you kids will chose an educational path that is less costly than mine did.....

 

They don't get to awful huge here but I still wouldn't mess with them for sure. There's been reports that there's some mountain lions here too, not sure how creditable they are but I damn sure wouldn't want to cross their path if there actually is some here.

 

hehehe hell no i would leave a mountain lion alone and observe it with a binocular from a long range.

Really? huh. We've got way more 'possums here, it may be that they keep the armadillos thinned out some, not sure.

That's the way it is now for sure.

Who knows which way they'll go, not of them have really expressed an interest in anything yet. What would really be good would be if the oldest gets much better at golf and gets some help with atleast a partial scholarship.

We have Florida panthers.....almost exclusively in the everglades area....very endangered species....every time one is found dead (usually road kill) it makes the newspapers. They have never been found to be a problem for people as they keep to themselves. A century ago, they were a threat to the cattle industry, so were hunted to near extinction.
