its the goddamn stress you feel the first few hours that sucks. All i need to do is call the job and say i will be late its not even a biggie. But heck no rush into the car and drive like a nascar driver down to work.

I know what you mean. My co-workers and I even tell each other to take it easy, take your time, you're late now anyway so half an hour or so more can't make it worse when we call in to say we're late.

 

it sucks when it comes down that heavy you barely get your clothes off until you have to go out with the snowshovel again.

yeah.. really, it's not that important, I say just take the time, have a cup of chocolate, read a magazine go at it as usual and then drive to work in normal pace.

I had planned on working until summer of 2016, but the economy prompted my employer to offer me an "incentive" to retire earlier......while I would have been better financially prepared in 2016, I am glad I retired in summer of 2010.....I did not realize how unpleasant working there had become.

Have you ever seen the Ocean's movies? I find that they are enjoyable even though you know they have no major basis in reality.

 

today I put on the snowchains on the tractor and drove it out in a field to get the snowblade.. I can't believe that I haven't done it a couple of months ago.

Off course it requires you to change the retirement planning somewhat i would imagine. Then again one cant do anything about economic uncertanty in the world. Are the living prices reasonable where you live such as food and bills.

I have sufficient retirement income to pay the bills.....wife also retired this past summer....between the two of us, we now have $90K less a year of income. My challenge is that I still have two sons in college; one in medical school and the other finishing up a master degree in film production. That is where all of my saved and extra $ has gone/going. But I am not complaining, just retirement activities have been put on hold for a while until the boys are paying their own way in life.
