Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads.     Hi guys, I stopped in while I wait, and it's just awful. I'm sure you are getting the same 504 & 502 errors as the rest of us.

    Fire the hosting company.

    It's become apparent they just dont have a clue. It's beginning to look like they arent going to get one.

    Took me 5 seconds to google a simple explanation to post here.
    " This problem is entirely due to slow IP communication between back-end computers, possibly including the Web server. Only the people who set up the network at the site which hosts the Web server can fix this problem."

    That's not a phun issue, that's a host fuckup among several servers, including the gateway server to get into phun in the first place. What does that have to do with our database upgrade?

    I would have posted this in one of the upgrade trouble threads if I could get to one. Unfortunately, this was the only thread I could get into. (Absurd).

    I know you guys are trying, but to have general network issues atop the database issues is over the top against you, IMO. How the hell are you supposed to test fixes to phun if the host cant even get you to it?

    That's a lousy host.

    sad thing: is always the same, with many, many hosters: they always claim that the web-server(s) need hardware-upgrade because that`s also a fee-"upgrade" - in their books. "free" (as in unpaid) extra-work or creativity to help to solve things is highly disliked.
    on top of that: communication between us and the hoster is difficult/dissatisfying.

    it`s not that a "daily" hoster-switch is an option, but from what i noticed over the last couple of weeks - the actual one is pretty insufficient.
