It took him almost 6 months to understand that we don't hit, kick, or throw things at him, and that he is here to stay, i.e., will not be returned to the pound. You can tell he is so happy, comfortable, and glad to be here now.......

 

after all the abuse Domenic took not surprised it took time for him to start to trust you there Thore. very good you took the time to earn his trust in you.

 

Haven't seen any recent shots of her but she has always looked on the young side with that baby face.

Or perhaps we are just thinking they are looking younger because we are getting older and our perspectives are shifting.

 

I can go 30's. Less than that starts to lose interest, except in a very few cases.

Perspective is certainly has an influence here. After all, I could well have a 23 year old grand-daughter. The other has to do with not being interested in spending time will a young lady that is clueless about the realities of life. I have always said that my next wife will be from Appalachia that is so damn glad to have indoor plumbing that I can do no wrong!

yes I am at my hometown right now Cold. came here yesterday for a visit before I have to go back to work.

I actually have two now. Two Decembers ago, my oldest son moved to Manhattan and could not take his Malamute/Shepard mix female with him, so I got her. (She, Amelie, was also a terribly abused pup before my son took her away from the SOB). Then, a year ago I adopted a rescued, year old male, Domenic. Domenic was extremely wild and rambunctious...they said he was a bitter, but he really did not bit, just put his mouth on you. Some times rather roughly. My skin is not as tare resistant as it once was, so I have had scabs on my arms and hands now for the past year.....all of the negative habits and behaviors have slowed down about 95%...is a problem now when he gets into an excited frenzy. Then I have to activate the remote control taeser collier. That gets his attention. Don't have to use that much at all now......in fact, it has been in the charger now for the past 3 days.

 

Oh I remember about you having the two new dogs and the injuries you sustained hence the armor reference. I just forgot the names and when you said something about 6 months, I figured it was a new dog as I have been gone longer than that.

 

Yeah, he got me again about 45 minutes ago....he was laying on my bed behind me......I turned around to give him some lovin' and he reached out to me with a paw, all in a friendly manner, but he raked me a bit and now I have a 2-inch diameter piece of tissue stuck to my arm with dried blood...

 

I need to take about a 30 minute break away from the Igloo so I can take care of a few things away from my PC...like start fixing the dogs supper, etc. Back shortly!
