    Yeah it was cool just talking baseball with them - they're really knowledgeable baseball fans (as Cardinal fans usually are) and it was cool watching them bask in the glow of this sports moment - kinda reminded me when my Giants won the World Series last year. :mrgreen:

    I think the only thing that was disappointing with Game 6? Joe Buck's awfully boring call of the walk-off homer. Seriously... sooo boring.

    Joe should stick to football. But, for the most part, I don't really care about the guys in the booth. McCarver is good I guess. I grew up listening to Harry Carey, first with the White Sox and then the Cubs (he replaced Jack Brickhouse, another great announcer). Mostly I just watch the game and ignore the talking heads. Although I do enjoy listening to Vin Scully. He's one of the last of a dying (no pun intended) breed.

    Joe's call was literally "Freese hits a drive to center... we will... see you tomorrow." No excitement, no passion, all boring. :roll: Supposedly, it's a tribute to his dad but the way he delivered it lacked a lot of passion.

    Now, ESPN Radio Dan Shulman's call? That was freaking fantastic. Wish I could find it right now.

    Usually what I do is turn down the TV sound and listen to the radio call cuz the radio guys are fantastic. Vin Scully is money, love Jon Miller.

    Yeah, radio guys have to convey the whole game to you since there's no visuals to rely on. Good idea listening to their call. :tup:
