    That reminds me.... the other night/morning at about 5AM, the local rescue squad decided to blare the siren for six miles up a stretch of road by the house. What bothers me is there was no traffic at the crossroads and as soon as it was clear of the intersection there was complete silence. WTF!!!

    The main plant in the area doesn't start rockin' until 6:30 or with shift change. It was ridiculous. Besides it woke me out of a good drunk induced sleep.:D

    I used to have a huge pine thicket b/t my house and the highway but the asshole decided to clear it out. Now you hear the 18 wheelers like they're on my road much less an emergency vehicle.

    That sucks Bama! The big forest conglomerate here has clear cut a lot of land here too. Now you can hear the train whistle from the plant and every crossing for about 12 miles on a calm night.
