    might be a valve that is stuck in open position too. worst case is if I have to change the pump.

    I have 2 of them, the other one is the best tractor I ever had or tried.. strong, small, well balanced.. too bad it's too small for some things. this one I bought just to have something to move the snow in the winter.

    first cylinder (there are three of them) aren't running it's getting diesel but maybe not enough or too much or not with the right pressure. I thought that the injector was bad so changed that to one from the other one, but that didn't make it any better.

    Good God he was full of questions! Did the injector work fine when switched to another cylinder? He also said engine timing is different from pump timing. Should be marked on the flywheel, but he couldn't remember the pump mark. Said there may be a diff. of almost 90 degrees. TDC is marked with an "S". I hope that helps because he kept rambling on and on.

    I didn't switch the injector to a different cylinder, I took one that I knew worked from the other tractor. I haven't checked the timing yet, but the previous owner (my neighbor) said that it ran good when he had it, though he may not have checked that too well since it had no oil pressure then. I bought it and renovated the engine. but no timing gears have been changed.

    I do have the full workshop manual so all the info is there on where and how the markings should be. I just find it a little strange though that only cylinder no.1 isn't running. I'm suspecting that something inside the pump have broken
