Nope, there definitley is more drama. It's like: hey, they won't be here for me for two days, so I better get all my stuff out today.

 

Which, at least in the case of our personality disorder clients, is not so unlikely, actually.

Tell half your clients that you will remain closed on Fridays and see if there is extra drama on Thursday.....by those told that Friday is now a holiday.

You do the experiments and observations like they're bugs under a microscope, I have to deal with the actual moods and mental states and help them to calm down/feel better/address conflicts etc.

 

What about those of us who notice the grammatical mistake and seek to lecture the poster on the correct usage of language.

You're probably right. My guess is it's one of two things:

1. They have poor schedule-maintenance skills, so anything they wanted to get done before the weekend suddenly becomes urgent on Friday. As of Thursday, they can still procrastinate.

2. Knowing that you'll be unavailable for two days is causing them some stress or anxiety, actually creating new issues that didn't exist on Thursday.

 

Possible.

 

3. They could just be drama-queens.
