There is no logic to hogwash.

And I'm talking about Jesus & His Miraculous Roadshow specifically since that region was dominated politically by the Romans at the time. The Old Testament is nothing but folklore, and the Jews never claimed otherwise.

 

Nobody believed the Old Testament was folklore.....they followed the commands given by God strictly......in daily life, upkeep of the tabernacle, and later the Temple, Festive laws, purity laws etc.

 

Any Jew will tell you that the Torah; Pentateuch; Old Testament, whatever you want to call it, is not a book of history based on empirical evidence. It's a book of lessons and teachings told in a fanciful way designed to scare the bejeebus out of you and keep your stupid ass in line.

 

Also when I said that the miracles of Jesus can be explained logically, I mean that scholars have tried to come up with explanations of them which make more sense than magic.....much like the ten plagues can today be explained scientifically.

I've yet to meet a rabbi who believes it's historical fact, and I've known more than a few.

Nobody thought the Old Testament was folklore...everybody believed the story of Moses and enslavement in Egypt (even though that can't be proved today), everybody believed they were descended Adam via Noah via Abraham.....everybody followed Sabbath laws......................... and there are a large amount of Jews even today who very strictly follow Sabbath laws.

 

Once you go Jew, nothing else will do.
