  2. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

    if its worth anything im not head over heels in love with the new looks either. But this is just the default skin hopefully when things get in place we can fix a better skin.

    actually we (the mods) are a little in stress, yes - that`s no whining or fishing for compliments, but the reason why we might appear a little short-spoken on occasion.

    hopefully everyone -(and be assured that we know that Phun is the Phunners) will understand that there are more and less important things to work on - and for some reasons we, the staff, are at least for now in charge to decide what`s important or not and focus on these things - this ship needs to be running smoothly again first before fonts, colors etc. are going to be addressed.

    and again, just because:
    there have been good resons to upgrade to the new vbulletin-version, most of all security-issues that couldn`t be addressed with the old one.
    sadly this upgrade couldn`t be done "off-line", so we need to bear with some issues/bugs - most of all the search-function which gets better/solved when the database is re-indexed.

    there wil be plenty of room for member`s input and participation soon.

    As I've already mentioned before, this isn't the final version of the forum. And I've already said that I'm no big fan
    of the new "default" design either (I don't even know why the vBulletin guys changed it in the first place...but I guess that's what you call progress...in the wrong way ;)). We're going to make it look like before, at least as similar as possible. But it will take a few days.

    On a different note, how's the performance of the forum on your end, since the switch to the new version? On my end, it takes a bit longer to load threads, but overall it seems to be pretty stable so far...

    It does seem a lot slower to me to open threads or switch forums. Hopefully you guys can sort it out. Otherwise I don't think it is a bad switch. The old version would crash the browser on my tablet once in a while. So far the new version hasn't crashed it at all.
