The Attention Deficit Disorder Thread

I was thinking that, but we don't have it in the family. I still think it's just the beginning of "normal" old age dementia (?).

 

Didn't mean anything negative by it, even though there's no cure there is meds that can slow it down. So, it's best to find out as early as possible. In other words....make them go to the doctor and tell them what's happening.

 

I wish mine would......she keeps on and on exerting herself.....walking, cleaning, lifting things...........and just rolls her eyes when I point out that she shouldn't.

 

It's not that bad........fuck, I don't like this conversation anymore.

 

My co-worker is like that! She's got a bad back and shouldn't lift heavy things... but she does so anyway and then she's home sick for three weeks after.

 

I know a gentleman right now that I've watched, he's in the late stages now. There's 0 family history of it in his family either. I actually saw a show the other night that showed proven fact one of the biggest causes was type 2 diabetes. The meds that they take for that causes a reverse effect on the brain cells, in turn causing an onset of alzheimer's. So, if you have diabetes in your family history it's best to get checked.

Nope, we don't have that either. My parents do go for check-ups regularly to a doctor they have seen for decades. I'd like to think he would notice if they deteriorate in that direction...

If I keep binge eating, I might be the first with diabetes in my family. Which type is it that you can inflict on yourself by an unhealthy diet?

I don't have it...yet. It's in my family history. Mother - heart and cholesterol. Father - type 2 diabetic. I try to really watch my diet.
