The Attention Deficit Disorder Thread

im in for just a bit, those of you that are face book fans, can see a video i posted on my jeep. im selling it. and my room has about 50 mosquitoes in it. they were all nesting quietly in the corner waiting for me to slumber so they could eat me. ive been slaughtering them to the point that my arm is tired and im sure i have corps in my hair.

im sick of all of this!

its been offlline for over a year, i really am surprised on how well its doing this time in.
i intend to lock it soon, its about run it course,
i may reopen with another round in a few weeks or so
it attracts traffic to the gf, it creates a place someone can say something and then, poof its gone and two pages deep.
its like this thread, but faster.

 

You know I was just thinking about the thread actually. I really enjoy it. I enjoy the group and the extremely laid back atmosphere. Nobody is expecting anything award winning.

My thought is why does it have to end? Not this particular one of course but do a continuous cycle. Winner is next OP.

The only part I dont like is the mods have to be bothered to lock it. You have much more experience than I do. Seems light hearted is a perfect fit atm.

 

Once upon a time before the casinos switched from coin pay to voucher pay there were manned kiosks on the casino floor where player could get change and redeem their winnings. These kiosks invariably had a sign above them that said CHANGE. In the case of MGM the sign read CHANGE & REDEMPTION. I found that oddly amusing. I thought it would be funny to get a pic of Jesus working behind the counter.

Only women worked in those kiosks though.

Alas they are no more. The slot machines no longer pay out in coin, instead they spit out a printed voucher (with an audio track that goes plunk, plink, plunk as if coins were falling into a steel tray, which the machines no longer have) that can be cashed in at ATM/bill changer/voucher redeeming machines found at intervals throughout the casino.

I wonder how many people those machines put out of work? Sorry ladies, you've become a superfluous anachronism. We're gonna have to let you go.

It's very considerate of them to at least add the audio track of the sound of coins falling into the tray.

 

It's very annoying though. And on some of the video screens during the process there's dollar bills flying about.

 

I've never been in a casino. Don't have the gamble bug, I guess.

 

Although you never know. I might go once to see what it's all about. Insert a coin into one of those slot machines, just for giggles. And then resurface twenty days later, naked, broke, with no memories of what had happened to me.

 

I have no luck anymore so I don't bother.

That's been known to happen more than once.

 

Two excavators are digging around in the yard next door. I wonder what that's all about.
