i finally added someone on my real facebook, now i have 1 friend!

No, I'm not as interested in architecture as perhaps I should be....but it does sound interesting.


Stuff like that doesn't happen here often.....Indians are stupid you see....art would go above their head.....their tiny mica seized brains are sent into rapture by watching a local actor dance.... occasionally they go as far as to provide a feeble reason for his dancing.



Actually they did have an international production of The Cherry Orchard last month....but it was in town and around 9:00pm....I didn't think that was a safe hour to be hanging of the side of trains.

Hundertwasser was opposed to the modern architecture of the 60's and 70's... generally every modern architecture that keeps people cramped together in big, square, characterless concrete blocks. He said there was no life in that at all. He dreamed of houses with forests on the roof and stuff like that. He eventually died in New Zealand, which landscapes he loved.

 

And so it begins....

He also liked to run around naked a lot and bought a sailing boat called "Regentag" (Rainy Day) with which he sailed around the world together with a little black dog and a black cat. He loved rainy days and water in general.

 

All right. Enough art talk.

 

One day I'm going on a trip, trying to see as many of his buildings as possible. There are a few in Germany, plus the famous Hundertwasser Haus in Vienna.
