this is only my second, but i was unaware until a couple days ago, i was actually a little irritated, i wish they would just go back to having all regular subs be 5 dollars

i do, i draw steel things on autocad
i had a chance to work at the mine near my house, its about a block away, it paid 17 bucks an hour and had mandatory over time, it was second shift and i had the job if i could weld
but ive not stick welded in months, maybe a year even, and ive only stick welded with my AC red arc box, and ive only sort of welded upside down.
i had to do over head weld, (upside down) with a DC current stick welder to get the job
i couldn't get the steel to transfer from the rod to the part, i was getting a good spark and a steady melt, but the transfer eluded me.

at one point i actually tried ot give up but he guy pushed me on, i figure he wanted to laugh a bit longer.

i left realizing as i drove out fo the lot, that was it, that was my last chance to stay in Indiana. i would be moving if i get the job here. and i think i may get the job here. i hope so anyway

i wasn't doing it so much for me, i would have liked it but i like working with autocad too. i was doing it for the babysitters of my son. they love him so much, they consider him there grand child. and i will be taking him away from them
and it breaks my heart to do that.
and thats all i could think about as i drove away. im not going to lie here, i choked up before i got there. i went strait there and told them i blew it. they didnt see the importance of what i was saying. ive put in about 50 resumes about Lafayette and Indianapolis area, ive got one call back for work at an assembly shop for 14 bucks an hour. i would work to loose everything.
so thats the story.
