As for the query, I've been busy keeping up the appearance of having a no time for life, despite still falling behind even more.

I'm not even sure why I said any greetings, as I've got to get to some other inconsequential minutia, so my presence within this "Jet-approved" chat thread will be minimal at best.

So, in turn, here's my pleasantries: how are you guys? is there anything you think I need to know, perhaps you think I missed out on something? (I probably did)

You said hello for the simple reason of having a friendly response back to you, which you did...and it was heart felt from all of us that did say hello.

You're welcome in any chat thread, no matter what anyone says. ALWAYS remember that. No one person owns any thread here except the person that owns the board. If everyone else would realize that this place would go back to how it used to be.

As a reminder: I take the Scribe epitaph to heart, and in most of what I do.
I feign all the rest (I guess. I don't know. I'm not a robot. It's just I've lost most of my emotions in the downtime.)

 

I'm fine Jet. Nothing new to report about me that is of any interest.

As far as what you may have missed? Well, phun was shut down for a week due to technical difficulties; Inuk acquired a girlfriend and promptly turned into a 16 year old; British members are dropping by the wayside due to elevated levels of estrogen in their brains; we have two female members who chat openly and intelligently on a daily basis; they made Salty a mod; mods hardly ever chat anymore for reasons unclear to me; and we have a number of new members who are pretty damn cool.

 

Just been a while since you've been around jet. One of the last times I do remember you being around I remember someone taking you out of context, I just wanted to make sure you didn't let that run you off from around here. That's all. I'm sorry life's throwing you problems and I hope it gets better for you quick.

I just find it to be a less unpleasant doctrine than Nihilism, which is kind of depressing.

I should clarify and say I'm not entirely apathetic, I'm selectively apathetic, which stems in part from being a skeptic, and in part from intellectual laziness.

 

Is there a new schedule for the bama household? Last time I was relevant, you were offline by 4pm. Maybe the second reneweal had me seeing you around even as late as 7pm.

Speaking of 7pm, I think that was the hour I thought it was when i popped in here to say 'hello'. Turns out it is actually closer 11 pm (EDT).

Actually, so long as I have youse two attention, and for the longest time you've known me, I've inquired to you both seasonally if either of you would be willing to partake in the Phun NFL fantasy league. How about it? I'm currently in the process of restarting the leage from last season, but I'm teetering on the decision of establishing a baseline of 10 or 12 teams. Again, it's courtesy for me to ask, but I have I'll have no qualms if you both were to decline. It's a ritual for me, but there's only so many times one can walk away the winner, and still be satisfied.

Depressing, it is in whatever sense of the word any of us automatons attribute to the word, I suppose, that there is no guarantee that there will even be an NFL season in 2011. I think I used too many 'thats'.

 

I saw your post in here last night. I even replied to it, though a couple hours later.

 

I have no interest in fantasy leagues Jet. It means keeping up on stats and other stuff I just don't give a hoot about. But don't be surprised if you get a few newer members participating.

 

I saw it. I was actually going to reply with the random thought of, "I wonder if there is a Mr. T smilie in the Phun database? It wouldn't surprise me, but it'd be cool." I didn't say it then, but that's only because everyone else had vacated.

I'm actually better surprised that after two years, off-and-on, this thread is finally evolving into the "outsider" chat thread I wanted back then, instead of seeing rhythmic bananas being posted over and over.
