Well I can, but it aint worth it.


Our society is very complex and simple at the same time. Depends on your point of view.

 

Society itself is a curious structure isn't........I've always had this odd diagram of society in my head.....let me see if I can describe it properly.



You have point A (birth) and point B (death) one path (let's call it the nomadic path) leads straight from A to B but the second path (the path of society) has us run through this complex, dynamic, to some degree meaningless maze before reaching to point B.


Makes the think of those Psychology experiments fro the 80's where they'd make a rat run through a maze to get a bit of food.

 

with the right plan, and a little luck your social and economic structure is only something to describe weather your correct plain is in fact ... correct in achieving your desires and ambitions.

the rampant decline of society, intensified by our fascination with popular culture

 

Actually I had a contradiction to the point I made earlier....I stated that humans were the only ones capable of ambitions and that the societal structure is set up to hinder that.......well it's our societal structure that gives birth to those ambitions and desires and stimulates them via reinforces such as money etc......so my original theory is rather nullified.

 

i think the people in charge do want many ambitions stifled, the ambition to challenge the current powers will always be suppressed by those in power, maybe money and success is just their way of distracting the masses from pursuing a change in the current system?

 

Nah, it still boils down to the societal structure promoting most of our ambitions and giving us room to try to fulfill them......living out in a cave you won't really have much chance of becoming a electronic engineer.

 

keep in mind im not a hippie, very far from it, but a lot of this song rings true, at least to me
