    My mom is such a font of wisdom and knowledge. And she stopped taking life seriously years ago. I mean the day-to-day nonsense, the stuff like politics and current affairs and all the like. It don't mean squat. Family, friends, other loved ones, people who have an immediate and direct influence on our day-to-day existence, they matter. The rest is just so much folderol according to her.
